18/08/2021   New arrangements for ordering school meals

Dear Parent and Carers

New arrangements for ordering school meals

At the start of next academic both the Priory and Garth schools will move to an online ordering and payment system for school meals. This will be completed through IRIS Parent Mail. Parents and carers should be familiar with this application as it has been utilised in both schools to distribute email correspondence during the summer term of last academic year.

Meals will be ordered a week in advance by completing a short form. You will order for the week in full and make payment at the time of selecting your meal options. Parents and carers of a child in receipt of free school meals will also order through IRIS Parent Mail and the final outstanding cost will be recorded as nil.

The new online system for ordering will go live the week beginning Monday 13th September for meals pupils will enjoy the week beginning Monday 20th September. School meals will still be provided between Monday 6th September – Friday 17th September. Parents and carers will continue to make meal selections using the school’s current system and by paying in cash.

As our confidence grows with this new system we hope that within time we will use the IRIS Parent Mail application to pay for other activities such as school trips.

In advance of Monday 13th September we recommend that all parents and carers download the IRIS Parent Mail application on either a smart phone or tablet. This will make the process of ordering easier.

More information will follow at the start of the autumn term.

Yours sincerely

Matthew Bloodworth-Flatt
